commercial projects

At Tabula Rasa we have undertaken a number of commercial projects including bars and tables for restaurants, beauty parlours and have even created a ‘treehouse’ in our workshop.

The Treehouse

This was always going to be a very ambitious project. Trying to subtly build a treehouse in the middle of a workshop/industrial unit. We certainly had a few battles along the way.

It took myself (Derek) and the talented James O'Keefe four months to complete the build and we are absolutely over the moon with the end result.

We are now looking forward to showing it off and seeing what interesting things the space will be used for.

We welcome anyone to stop in for a drink and view the space. You wont be dissapointed.

Nail bar for a new beauty & aesthetics salon.

Scottish Figured Olive Ash.

Features dovetail keys and hexagon inlays in Copper, rare Pink Ivory and American Walnut. Patchwork in Scottish Elm. Finished off with a set of mid-century hairpin legs.

Designed and handmade by Derek Annand.

Tables for Bar Brett, Glasgow.

This project was for Bar Bret - Glasgow's No 1 Wine bar and Eatery.
The brief for this job was to keep it simple. By using Scottish Elm with copper dovetail keys and burr elm patchwork I think we aced it.

They were so happy with the initial project for the bars and big tables, they later requested poseur tables which we did in a similar style.
